FEB. 4, 2026 – BROKEN BOW, NEB. – Students from across the county explored options for education and careers at a job fair hosted by Nebraska Extension today. Local business persons as well as educators and military recruiters were on hand to share information. Connor Nelson, a sophomoeat Sargent High School said the event opened his eyes. “I’m seeing more opportunities,” he said.SFC Jerromy Cissell, a Nebraska National Guard recruiter, said many students talked to him and not just to inquire about having education paid for. “Most of them were really interested in the military,” Cissell said. “”They say they already have their degrees and now they want to serve.” Read more about the job fair in the Feb. 12 Chief.
