PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (KCRG) – The Grant County, Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office is investigating a social media threat sent to a student that forced the Platteville School District to cancel classes on Monday.
The student reported the threat to the Platteville School District, who contacted the Platteville Police Department.
According to officials, the student was being extorted, but police found no active threat toward the school district.
This investigation remains ongoing.
