George Clooney has fallen ill during the Venice Film Festival.

The actor, 64, missed two events at the annual Italian festival on Wednesday and one on Thursday due to health issues.

“George has been diagnosed with a sinus infection and is under doctors orders to cut back on his activities today,” the rep told The Post Thursday.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Clooney “started to feel unwell Wednesday and was advised to head straight home and rest up.”

He was seen boarding a boat leaving Hotel Excelsior around 4 p.m. to head home that day.

Clooney skipped the press junket for his new Netflix movie “Jay Kelly,” directed by Noah Baumbach, and a dinner with his cast mates, including Adam Sandler and Laura Dern, on Wednesday.

On Thursday, he missed the film’s official press conference.

“Even movie stars get sick!” Baumbach, 55, said with a laugh at the star of the press conference, per Variety. The director participated in the press conference with stars Sandler, Dern, Billy Crudup and Emily Mortimer.

Clooney is reportedly expected to be at the film’s red carpet world premiere Thursday night.

Earlier on Thursday, Clooney was seen in Lake Cuomo with his wife, Amal Clooney, 47, their twins Ella and Alexander, 8, and the rest of the “Jay Kelly” team. The group departed Villa Olendra by boat for a lively lunch at Villa d’Este before heading to the Venice Film Festival.

Clooney, who appeared to be in good health, wore a short-sleeved navy blue shirt, black pants and sunglasses.

Clooney and his wife arrived in Venice on Tuesday. The couple was seen riding a boat into the city.

The “ER” alum wore a black polo shirt, beige pants, a brown belt and matching loafers. He also sported a pair of sunglasses.

Amal, for her part, stunned in a butter yellow bodycon dress, white heels.

In “Jay Kelly,” Clooney plays an aging movie star who embarks on a profound journey in Europe with his manager (Sandler). The film was written by Baumbach and Mortimer, 53.

In an Aug. 4 interview with Vanity Fair, Clooney revealed that he committed to the project less than 24 hours after he got the screenplay.

“I literally said to him, ‘Noah, look, I love the script. I love you as a director, but I’m 63 years old, dude—I can’t do 50 takes,’” Clooney shared. “‘I don’t have it in me. I’ve got the acting range from A to B.’”

Clooney also said that he could relate to his character in “Jay Kelly.”

“When you’re an actor in my position, at my age, finding roles like this aren’t all that common,” he explained. “If you can’t make peace with aging, then you’ve got to get out of the business and just disappear. I’m now the guy that, when I go running after a bad guy, it’s funny—it’s not suspenseful. That’s okay. I embrace all of that.”

“Jay Kelly” comes out Nov. 14 on Netflix.
