LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas has multiple online graduate programs ranked among the nation’s best in the 2026 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s online graduate rankings, including top national placements in education for programs in the School of Education & Human Sciences.
KU earned standout recognition in online education, with its graduate education program ranked No. 2 (tie) overall and No. 1 nationally for veterans.
“These national rankings reflect the strength of our academic programs, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and KU’s commitment to student success,” said Rick Ginsberg, dean of the school. “We’re proud to see KU recognized across disciplines for excellence and impact.”
In online education specialty rankings, KU’s curriculum & instruction program ranked No. 10 (tie), while KU’s educational administration and supervision program ranked No. 13 (tie). KU’s online special education program ranked No. 1, reinforcing the university’s leadership in preparing educators and advancing research that supports learners with diverse needs.
