As Northern Nevada and the Sierra brace for freezing temperatures and icy road conditions, educational institutions throughout the region have updated their schedules for Friday, February 20.
- Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD): All schools will be closed tomorrow for a snow day. This closure allows local crews to clear roadways and ensure bus stops are safely accessible.
- Bishop Manogue High School: The physical campus will be closed. All students will transition to Virtual Learning for the day.
Delayed Starts & Schedule Changes
- Washoe County School District (WCSD): All schools are on a two-hour delayed start.
- Winter Bus Stops are currently in effect.
- All morning half-day early childhood programs are canceled.
Pine Crest Middle School:
- Classes will also begin on a two-hour delay tomorrow.
Coral Academy of Science Reno:
- All five campuses will operate on a two-hour delay due to hazardous road conditions. There will be no AM child care available.
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC):
- All campus locations will have a delayed opening at 11 a.m.
- Remote Morning: All classes and services scheduled before 11 a.m. will move to online platforms (Canvas/Zoom).
- Child Care Center: Doors will open at 10:30 a.m.
- In-Person Resumption: Normal on-campus operations and in-person classes will resume promptly at 11 a.m.
