Sixth grade students sampled German foods to learn about the country’s culture.
In Mrs. Basile’s 6th grade classes, the students got to sample some German food items.
The students researched about German foods and learned why they were important to the German culture as well as their origin. The students shared their research before sharing the delicious German food and desserts with the class. They also spoke, German to each other at the food tasting party.
Some items brought in were Apple Strudel, German pretzels, Schnitzel, Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte, Bratwurst, Potato Pancakes and more.
