The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce is taking registration for the first Lunch & Learn of 2026, being held Friday, February 13th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Vimy Room at the Weyburn Legion.
Monica Osborn, Executive Director with the Chamber, said it is open to members and non-members.
“Members are a cost of $20 and non-members a cost of $25, and this just helps us cover the cost of the meal that’s being served for them, so they get some information from the individuals that are going to be presenting, which this time will be Virtus Group.”
“As we get into January to April, it’s kind of into that tax season, so it’s a very relevant topic for our businesses.”
She said Virtus Group, a national company that joined the Chamber as members in 2025, will be discussing how integrated tax planning can help business owners reduce risk and help align their business goals with their own personal goals.
“They’re going to break down complex concepts into clear practical ideas that our businesses can use to make confident decisions for their businesses.”
Osborn said tax professionals are a business owners’ best friend.
“Come out and learn from those that do keep up to date every day on the ever changing world of what’s happening with the CRA,” she invited. “It’s always relevant information to be able to listen to those that deal with it on a daily basis.”
Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to register early so they can let the Legion know the anticipated numbers in advance. However, they will accept walk-ins.
“Our Lunch & Learns are very popular. It’s a way to do some networking, but then also learn something that can be effective to your business.”
She said the Chamber also welcomes business owners to consider hosting their own Lunch & Learn, with topics they’d be willing to present to help other businesses.
Members and non members can register online HERE or by calling the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce at 306-842-4738.
