Boone County Overdose Response Coalition and Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services will host their next opioid overdose education and naloxone distribution event at Columbia College on Thursday.
SAVE-A-LIFE is a monthly event that teaches how to prevent opioid overdoses using naloxone, or Narcan.
The event will occur at Columbia College’s Brouder Science Center, located at 705 Rangeline St. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. Parking will be available on the east side of Rangeline Street and across from the science center, according to a news release from the city of Columbia.
If you miss the original event, you can come directly after to talk with members of Boone County Public Health and Human Services, according to the news release.
