Arlington, TX (January 5, 2026) – Texas Health Resources is one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Culture, Belonging & Community 2026 earning 4.5 stars, according to an analysis by Newsweek and the data firm Plant-A Insights Group.

This award recognizes organizations that cultivate a strong workplace culture while building opportunities for all employees to succeed. Texas Health was recognized among organizations with 20,000 or more employees.

“At Texas Health, we’re dedicated to building a welcoming workplace where every voice is heard and valued,” said Barclay Berdan, FACHE, Texas Health’s CEO. “We live by Our Texas Health Promise: Individuals Caring For Individuals, Together. Being mindful and considerate of people and their life experiences and beliefs is central to that.”

Texas Health supports career growth with leadership development initiatives, mentoring, continuing education and programs to learn new skills while working. The organization also offers reimbursement of tuition and fees for approved degree plans.

Texas Health offers paid parental leave for up to six weeks for new mothers and fathers and adoption reimbursement of up to $10,000. Employees also get an extra paid day off to use as they wish.

Employees systemwide have access to a well-rounded selection of wellness programs that can help them achieve a healthy and balanced life. They also get a generous 401(k) plan with company match and paid time off that covers volunteer work in their communities.

“We’re honored to be recognized for our strong workplace culture,” said Carla Dawson, chief people officer at Texas Health. “We’re committed to fostering an environment where every individual feels respected, supported and empowered to do their life’s best work.”

In October, Texas Health was named one of the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces for Women™ by Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine.

Earlier this year, Texas Health was recognized at No. 33 on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For® list — the highest among healthcare systems recognized. In September, Texas Health was ranked No. 1 on the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care™ list.
