REDDING, Calif. — Paesano Days is back at South City Park in Redding this weekend.
The festival is hosted by the Sons of Italy Redding chapter to celebrate Italian heritage with the community.
Here, patrons can enjoy Italian food, a basket raffle, arts and crafts, a car show, and bocce ball, among other fun features.
Paesano Days 2024 Chairperson JT Tasello told KRCR on Sept. 13, “We always have someone roll out the first [bocce] ball. And tonight, our friends with the Special Olympics are going to be rolling out the ball to start up the bocce tournament.”
He added, “It’s just a good time for everybody… There’s all kinds of fun.”
Sons of Italy Redding representativessaid there will be a spaghetti dinner on the night of Friday, Sept. 13, which concludes at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, will have treats like cannoli and ice cream, in addition to a bocce ball tournament and classic car show in the morning.
The event goes until 10:00 p.m. on Sept. 13 and from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sept. 14.
